Clarity

The purity of a diamond is directly linked to its clarity. Gem-quality diamonds are formed deep in the earth’s crust when carbon is exposed to intense heat and pressure. This process, which happens over thousands of years, result in internal characteristics called inclusions and external characteristics called blemishes which affects the overall appearance of the stone. The number, size, relief, nature and position of these characteristics determine the clarity of the diamond.
